Darkfall Unholy Wars: Tasos Speaks Hilights/Notes


Overall the vibe was positive. Tasos seemed enthused to be there, and didn't hold back much, but was generally lengthy-winded attempting to convey points & such. Here's my notes:

-Preorder subsequent week, "hopefully early"

-Incentives for people who paid for 1, also incentives for people that didnt
ungeons nonetheless have portals for technical environmental factors

-New rendering way for first individual, feels a lot better, enables first person melee

-New over the shoulder camera alternative

-Warrior college in the near future after launch for mounted combat

-In essense, we have introduced moongates that will turn out to be hotspots,
portal chambers out in the open word that have predefined destinations

-Villages incentive to capture holding, ownership = resources, however only for
cities close by, together with the cut of the rent, promote nearby competition
-Steam assistance has been incredible, DF in top 100 of all time already (whatever that indicates)

-The normal college may be executed with empty hands

-Warrior capabilities with melee weapon, mage capabilities with staff, other schools are mixed

-Lots of modest conviencences like this will be in the Darkfall Unholy Wars gold game

-Limbo NOT in game for launch, possibly never, being reevaluted

-No crafting limits, but there won't be downtime like there was in 1. He went
into a speech about making certain we do not compare df1 to df2 and so on.
-No local banking (duh)

-Interface not very customizable at the moment, can not move items around,
just havent had time, so what you see is what you will get

-Primalist not in @ launch, but first priority post launch, "right after",
not going to take lengthy at all, right after they cope with launch difficulties
-No speed reduction running/swimming in heavy armour, not even thinking about
eclined question to talk about loot drops

-Not an auction house, it is a "marketplace". Not at launch, it will be in game
you'll be in a position to see it, however not operational. Won't make a big diff
in early days anyway.

-Account system is distinct, accounts and transfers will work differently
-1 account, characters on each servers!!!!

-Clan ranks are compelled to do with efficiency during sieges, nothing to do with
bank/clan permissions
